PARENTS CHARGED IN TODDLER SHOOTING

Today, Polk County District Attorney, Stan Butterfield, announced that the parents of a toddler who was the victim of an accidental gunshot wound have each been charged in connection with the case. The children's father Charles Andrew Flow, Sr. and mother, Johnnie Jean Williams of Dallas, Oregon were each charged with two counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
The couple is alleged to have engaged in reckless conduct by leaving a loaded handgun in an area where the children were playing during the September 23, 2011 incident.
Authorities believe the two year old boy was accidentally shot by his three year old brother as the two boys were playing in the living room of the family residence.
The boys' parents are scheduled to be arraigned on October 13, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in Courtroom 4, of the Polk County Courthouse.
