On 10-6-2011 members of POINT assisted by the Polk County SRT team conducted an investigation into the illegal sales of Heroin in the West Salem area. Detectives arrested three (3) subjects as a result of a three (3) month long investigation. Ramona Koch was taken into custody in the parking lot of the Kmart store at the corner of Market and 25th Street SE in Salem. Ms. Koch faces charges of Unlawful Possession and Distribution of Methamphetamine and Heroin and Conspiracy.
Perla Cota and Luis Delgado-Flores were taken into custody in the parking lot of the West Salem Courthouse athletic club. Ms. Cota faces charges of Unlawful Possession and Delivery of Heroin. Both Ms. Cota and Mr. Delgado also face charges of Conspiracy.
Investigators seized over a pound of Heroin, packaging materials, scales, drug records and over $3,300.00 in cash as a result of the investigation.
