Oregon State Police (OSP) is asking for the public's help to locate a wanted man who fled on foot from an OSP trooper Saturday morning in northwest Multnomah County. The suspect is wanted on Parole and Probation violation warrants.

On July 9, 2011 at approximately 7:42 a.m. a trooper stopped to check on suspicious circumstances upon seeing a man leaning into a parked 1997 Honda Accord four-door at the entrance of a gated driveway leading to private property on Rocky Point Road about 1/2 mile south of Highway 30. The trooper contacted the man who was uncooperative and then fled on foot west along the driveway toward a heavily wooded area. The adult white male was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap with red bill, black t-shirt, and dark jeans.
The man was identified as SHANE DAVID HANSEN, age 30, from Scappoose. HANSEN is further described as 5'10", 170 lbs, and has a scar on his nose. HANSEN is currently wanted on outstanding warrants from the State of Oregon (Parole Violation) and Washington County (Probation Violation). He is also on probation in Columbia County for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Officers from Columbia County Sheriff's Office, Scappoose Police Department, St. Helens Police Department and a Portland Police canine unit responded to assist. An area search failed to locate HANSEN.
Additional investigation determined the Honda was stolen out of St. Helens.
Anyone with information regarding HANSEN's location is asked to call OSP Northern Command Center dispatch at 800-452-7888 or 9-1-1.
