OSP Fish & WIldlife Troopers Investigating Deer Poaching in Damascus (Photos)

Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division troopers are asking for the public's help to identify the suspect(s) responsible for illegally killing a 3x3 blacktail deer and leaving it to waste in a field in the Damascus area.


According to OSP Trooper Mark Shoenborn, on July 20, 2011 at approximately 10:15 p.m. several shots were reported being heard in the area SE 242nd Avenue and Bohna Park Road. A dead deer was later found in a field. Preliminary investigation indicates it was killed using a small caliber rifle.
